The Hungry Womxm
I am a freelance writer and award winning filmmaker, with a focus on food and community power.
I am a multimedia storyteller with a background in anthropology. I occasionally write on Substack (you can find me here) and am always open to opportunities of collaboration, so please don't hesitate to get in touch.
Although not limited to, my focus is largely on food. I'm hungry for stories about the food we eat and grow that can help us see the world in different ways and get a bit closer to what it really means to be human.
My skills lie in foregrounding the individual to broader cultural, political contexts. My writing doesn’t shy away from drawing bold conclusions whilst maintaining a keen eye for detail and dialogue that bring light and effervescence to stories.
I'm also extremely partial to a fish-finger sandwich. I hope to share a recipe I've been working on with you soon!
